Aker Solutions' Drilling Techonolgies have recently opened a new office on Preston Farm, Stockton with the aim of tapping into the regions expertise in oil and gas technology.  Aker Solutions' Drilling Techonolgies provides deep water drilling packages to offshore drilling rigs and drillships.

Air Products, a global company, are a specialist supplier of gases to industry and have had a local presence on Teesside for over 40 years.   New for 2013 is a new venture which utilises advanced gasification technology to generate renewable electricity.  This energy from waste initiative involves the building of a new plant on the Billingham Chemical Complex.
