After a pause on in-person events due to the pandemic, we are pleased to be able to bring you the first TEN event of 2022, in partnership with NOF, Energi Coast and on behalf of RWE’s Sofia Offshore Wind Farm.
The face-to-face event is taking place on Friday January 21, 08:30 – 10am at the newly opened Kirkleatham Walled Garden in Redcar. The event is free to attend and we expect demand to be high!
Sofia Offshore Wind Farm and its contractors are committed to the development and growth of a competitive UK supply chain, and to ensure local suppliers are well placed to be involved with local contracts. To support this, Sofia would like to provide companies based in the Tees Valley and surrounding area with the opportunity to learn more about the project and its activity.
The event is organised by NOF and Energi Coast, with presentations from Sofia Offshore Wind Farm and two suppliers working on the project in the Tees Valley: Kier Infrastructure and J. Murphy & Sons Limited.
Kier Infrastructure, working under Tier 1 contractor GE’s Grid Solutions, will start construction of the onshore converter station in early 2022. J. Murphy & Sons Limited will be responsible for the civils works for the onshore cable route for both Sofia and adjacent project Dogger Bank C.
